Bot Profile

Bot Profile changes how the bot looks in your server only. Other servers keep the bot's global name and avatar.

What you can change

SettingNotes
Server BannerThe wide image at the top of the bot's profile card. Click the banner area to pick an image. Remove Banner takes it off again.
Server AvatarClick Change Avatar (or the avatar itself) to pick an image. The text under the button says whether the bot uses a server-specific avatar or its global one.
NicknameUp to 32 characters. Leave it empty to use the bot's global display name.
About MeThe bio on the bot's profile in this server, up to 190 characters. It supports Discord markdown and timestamps.

Changes show in the previews straight away, and pending images are marked Pending - save to apply. Click Save Changes in the bar at the bottom to apply them in Discord.

The webhooks the bot posts through (mod logs, automations, sticky messages, feeds) show the bot's server avatar in a corner of their own avatar, so they follow a new one within a few seconds. A webhook whose avatar you changed yourself keeps yours.

Pick an image

Change Avatar and the banner open the Pick an Image window:

  • For the avatar, Pinned holds Default: choose it to go back to the bot's global avatar.
  • Folders lists your Media Library folders. Open one and click an image.
  • Or paste an external URL takes any image link. Click Use URL to choose it.
Pick an Image: the default avatar, your media folders or an external URL

Variables in the bio

Click Insert Variable under About Me to add a server value:

VariableValue
{server.name}The server's name
{server.member_count}The member count
{server.boost_count}The number of boosts
{server.boost_level}The boost tier (0 to 3)

The values are filled in when you save. The bio does not update itself later, so save again to refresh a member count.

Previews

The right side shows the result three ways: the Profile Preview card, the Member List Preview and a Chat Preview. Switch Preview theme between Dark and Light to check both Discord themes. On a phone, switch between Edit and Preview at the top of the page.

Limits

Note

Discord allows up to 20 profile saves per 5 minutes for the bot, shared by all of these fields. When you reach the limit, the page counts down and Save Changes stays disabled until you can save again.

Saving the profile is recorded in the staff logs under Settings.
