Media Library
Media in the sidebar opens the Media Library: every image your server has uploaded, every external image link you saved, and the canvas images made in the Image Builder. The Message Builder, Bot Profile and Image Builder pick their images from here.
Warning
Uploaded files are public. Anyone who has a file's link can open it, without logging in, the same as an image posted in Discord. Do not upload anything private: no personal documents, no screenshots with personal data, nothing you would not post in a public channel.
Storage and limits
The Storage card at the top shows how much of your server's space is used, how many files there are in how many folders, and how many canvas images you have.
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| File types | PNG, JPG, GIF and WebP images |
| Size of one file | 10 MB |
| Files in one folder | 50 |
| Storage for the server | 50 MB by default; the bot's operator can change it for your server |
The storage total counts uploaded files. External links and canvas images do not use storage.
The toolbar
Under the folder path (Root, then the folders you opened) there are four buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cloud (Upload image) | Upload an image into the folder you are in. |
| Link (Add external URL) | Save a link to an image hosted elsewhere, with an optional label. |
| Folder (New folder, or New subfolder inside a folder) | Create a folder here. |
| Grid (New canvas image) | Start a new design in the Image Builder. |
Folders
Click a folder to open it; the path at the top takes you back. Folder names use letters, numbers and spaces, up to 40 characters. A folder can hold subfolders one level deep. Folders can be renamed, moved into another folder and deleted.
Caution
Deleting a folder permanently deletes everything in it.
Files
Each file card shows its name or label, its size and where it is used, for example a saved template such as Server rules, or Sticky in #rules. A file nobody uses reads Unused. Links you added are marked External.
Hover a file to see its buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Copy URL | Copy the file's link, to paste into any image field. |
| Edit label | Give the file a readable name. |
| Replace with external URL | Point everything in the server that uses this file (templates, sticky messages and other module settings) at a link you enter, and delete the uploaded copy. Uploaded files only. |
| Move to folder | Move the file to another folder. |
| Delete | Delete the file, after a confirmation. |
Choose an image from another page
When a page asks for an image (the bot's avatar, a gallery, a webhook avatar), it opens Pick an Image. Open a folder and click a file, or paste a link and click Use URL.
Delete safely
Before you delete a file, check its usage badges. Templates and sticky messages that use it lose the image, links to it stop working, and a deleted file cannot be recovered. To move away from an uploaded file without breaking anything, use Replace with external URL instead.
Uploads, moves, label changes, folder changes and deletions are recorded in the staff logs under Image Builder.
