FAQ

Why does a subscription show "Source Error"?

The last check of the source failed: the site was down, the account or channel was renamed or deleted, or the feed URL moved. Hover over the badge to read the error. The bot keeps retrying with growing gaps (up to an hour apart) and the badge clears on the first successful check. If the source moved for good, delete the subscription and add the new source. See When a source fails.

Why was my subscription turned off?

The bot turns a subscription off only when its webhook is gone for good or its channel was deleted while the bot was offline (a channel deleted while the bot runs takes its subscriptions with it), and shows the reason on the card. Edit the subscription, pick a new channel or webhook, turn it on and save.

A new post never showed up. Why?

  • The Feeds switch or the subscription is off.
  • A keyword filter skipped it. Check Keywords and Filter Mode in Edit Subscription.
  • More than 5 new items arrived in one check. Only the newest 5 are posted (clips catch up over the next checks).
  • The source is 18+ and the channel lost its age restriction.
  • The bot cannot post in the channel: it needs View Channel and Send Messages, plus Manage Webhooks in webhook mode.
  • It was published before you subscribed. Only the latest item is posted when you subscribe; older items are not back-filled.

Why do YouTube posts have no description, or an approximate time?

YouTube sometimes asks the bot's server to sign in ("confirm you're not a bot") before it gives a video's details, which it does to many servers. New videos still post, but without their description, with a publish time taken from "3 hours ago" style text, and Shorts without a time at all. Whoever runs the bot can set a YouTube Data API key (YOUTUBE_API_KEY), which then supplies them; it is free for this use.

Why can't I pick a platform?

A platform with a lock needs setup by whoever runs this bot, and the reason is shown under it: Twitch needs Twitch API credentials, TikTok and Instagram need an RSSHub server, and X needs an RSSHub server or an X API token.

Why is my channel missing from the channel list?

The source is 18+ (for example an NSFW subreddit), so only age-restricted channels are listed. Mark the channel as age-restricted in Discord, or pick another one.

Can I post one source to two channels?

Yes. Add a second subscription for the same source with another channel. Each has its own template, filters and delivery. The same source cannot be added twice to one channel.

How do I see a new template in action?

Click Re-send latest item on the subscription card. It posts the latest item again with the current template, without affecting what counts as already posted.

Does deleting a subscription remove its posts?

No. Posts already in the channel stay, and the template is kept for reuse.
