Analytics - Setup
Activity is collected from the moment the bot joins, so the commands have data right away. These steps get the rest going.
- Check the module is on. Open Analytics. The switch at the top of the panel turns the Analytics commands on or off; stat channels, activity roles and leaderboards have switches of their own.
- Try a command. Run
/analytics serverin any channel. The bot posts an image card with message and member activity for the last 14 days; pick anotherlookback(24 hours, 7, 14, 30 or 90 days) for a different range. - Set the fake invite threshold (optional). Under Invite Tracking on the Settings tab, set Fake invite account age threshold to a number of days (for example 7) to flag joins from accounts newer than that. It is 0, off, by default; see Invite Tracking.
- Review privacy. Open the Privacy tab and exclude channels or roles you do not want tracked, such as staff channels. See Privacy.
- Add a stat channel. On Stat Channels, click New Channel, pick a voice channel and a name template such as
Members: {members}. See Stat Channels. - Reward activity (optional). Create an activity role for regulars, or a weekly leaderboard with a role for the top three.
- Save. Settings tab changes are saved with Save Changes in the bar at the bottom; stat channels, activity roles and leaderboards save from their own editors.
The bot needs Connect and Manage Channels on stat channels and Manage Roles (with its role above the roles it gives) for activity and leaderboard roles.
