Every member can use these commands, in servers only, while Birthdays is turned on. Replies other than your own /birthday view card are only visible to you.

Turn commands on or off

The Commands tab has a toggle for set, forget, next and view, all on by default. Turn one off and click Save Changes; members who run it are told it is disabled. For example, turn off next to keep upcoming birthdays private.

Birthdays > Commands: one toggle per subcommand

/birthday set

Saves your birthday. day and month are numbers: /birthday set day:15 month:3 is 15 March. Month names are not accepted.

  • year is optional, from 1900 to last year. It is required when the server has Require Birth Year on, and needed for your age and age roles.
  • A date that does not exist (such as 31 April) is refused. February 29 without a year is fine; with a year, that year must be a leap year.
  • If you have not set a timezone yet, the bot asks whether to use the server's timezone (Use server default) or to set yours on the website (Set on website).
  • Your birthday is saved once and used in every server with this bot. Running the command again replaces it.

/birthday forget

Deletes your saved birthday everywhere. You are no longer announced, and the birthday role is removed at the next check.

/birthday next

Lists the next birthdays of members in this server, soonest first, 10 per page. Each entry shows when the birthday starts in that member's timezone, the saved date, the age they turn (when their year is saved) and their timezone. count (1 to 250, default 10) sets how many birthdays are loaded at first; Next loads more as you page. Previous, Next and Close only work for the member who ran the command.

/birthday view

Shows a birthday card for you or user: the date, when the next birthday starts and a countdown, the age they turn, fun facts (zodiac sign, day of the year, weekday of birth, days alive) and their Discord and server join dates. Your own card is posted in the channel; another member's card is only shown to you, since it can include their age.
