Birthdays is turned off, or Announcement Channel is DisabledTurn the module on and pick a channel on Birthdays > Settings.
The Announcement Hour has not been reached on the server's clockAnnouncements start at that hour in the server's timezone. Check Settings > Locale & Timezone.
The member's birthday ended while the bot was offlineLate birthdays are not announced. Missed hours are caught up only while the birthday is still going.
The bot cannot post in the channelGive it View Channel and Send Messages there.
The member left the serverOnly current members are announced.

The birthday role was not given or not removed

  • The bot needs Manage Roles, and its highest role must be above the Birthday Role (Server Settings > Roles).
  • The role follows the member's own timezone, not the server's. A member who never set a timezone uses the server's.
  • The role is removed within a minute of the birthday ending, and from everyone when the module is turned off. If the bot cannot manage the role, it stays.

Age roles are not assigned

  • The member must have saved a birth year. Turn on Require Birth Year so new birthdays include one.
  • Age roles change on the member's birthday or when they save their birthday on the dashboard. Creating a group or running /birthday set does not assign them. See When age roles update.
  • The bot needs Manage Roles and must be above the age roles.

/birthday set says the date is invalid

Use numbers for both the day and the month: /birthday set day:15 month:3 is 15 March. The date must exist, and a year must be between 1900 and last year.

The date is wrong in /birthday next

The day and month were probably swapped. Run /birthday set again with the right values; it replaces the old birthday.

A member does not show in /birthday next

Only members who are in this server and have saved a birthday are listed. Check with /birthday view user:@member.

Can members have a different birthday per server?

No. A member has one birthday, used in every server with this bot. /birthday forget removes it everywhere.
