Moderation - Overview

The Moderation module gives your staff slash commands for every common action and keeps a numbered case for each one, so you always know who did what, to whom and why. Around the commands it adds evidence attachments, infraction points with automatic escalation, an editor for Discord's own AutoMod rules, spam detectors and a multi-level anti-raid system.

Open Moderation

The Cases tab: every action becomes a numbered case

What it does

  • Moderation commands: /warn, /timeout, /mute, /kick, /ban (permanent or timed), /softban, /forceban, /unban, /note, the mass commands /massban, /massunban and /massmute, and /clean for bulk-deleting messages.
  • Cases: every action gets a case number, is posted to your case log channel and can be edited or deleted in the dashboard. Bans, kicks and timeouts done directly in Discord are recorded as cases too.
  • Evidence: attach text, links, images and files to a case with /proof or in the dashboard.
  • Member DMs: the member is told what happened and why, with a message you can customize. A ban DM carries a link to your ban appeal form when the Forms module has one open.
  • Long timeouts and timed actions: timeouts longer than Discord's 28-day limit, roles taken away while a member is timed out and given back when it ends, role-based mutes with or without an end, and bans that lift themselves.
  • Infraction points (off by default): actions add points that decay over time, and point thresholds warn, time out, kick or ban automatically.
  • AutoMod: create and edit Discord's native AutoMod rules from the dashboard, with optional infraction points per rule.
  • Anti-Spam: eight per-member detectors and two server-wide ones (join raids and thread spam). They only detect; you decide the response with Automations.
  • Anti-Raid: escalation levels that lock channels, set slowmode, raise the verification level, pause invites or turn away new joins, and step back down on their own.

Who can use it

Moderation commands follow Discord's own permissions, not the bot's Staff and Admin roles:

CommandsPermission
/warn, /note, /cases, /proof, /timeout, /untimeout, /mute, /unmuteMembers with Timeout Members
/kickMembers with Kick Members
/ban, /forceban, /unban, /softbanMembers with Ban Members
/massban, /massunbanStaff who also have Ban Members
/massmuteStaff who also have Timeout Members
/cleanStaff who also have Manage Messages
/antiraid statusStaff (Discord shows the /antiraid commands to members who can time out members)
/antiraid level, /antiraid historyAdmins

Discord hides each command from members without its permission. A server admin can change who sees a command under Server Settings > Integrations, but the bot still checks the permission when the command runs. Staff and Admin are the bot's own levels; see Roles and Permissions.

The dashboard pages are for members with Manage Server.
