Mod Logs - Settings
Log channel changes are saved when you click Add Channel or Save Changes in the channel dialog; the switches in the channel list save right away.

Webhook
Entries are posted through a webhook in the log channel, so they can carry a name and avatar of your choice.
- Leave Webhook on Auto-create and the bot uses its "ModLogs" webhook in that channel, or creates one, as soon as you save. You can also pick one of the channel's existing webhooks.
- A webhook the bot creates gets a scroll icon as its avatar, with a ring in the server's accent color and the bot's avatar in a corner. It follows those when they change, and each channel can change its own (see Webhook avatar). Give the webhook your own avatar in Discord and the bot leaves it alone from then on.
- Set Display Name Override and Avatar Override to post under a different name and picture, for example "Server Logs" with your server icon.
- If the webhook is deleted, the bot creates a new one and sends the entry again. If it cannot create one (it lacks Manage Webhooks), it posts the entries as a normal bot message instead and raises a bot alert, at most once an hour.
Webhook URLs are never shown in the dashboard.
Webhook avatar
Under Avatar on a log channel's Webhook tab, pick the channel's Icon (the scroll, or any icon from the list) and Ring colour:
- Server accent: every entry's avatar is ringed in the server's accent color.
- Each message's colour: every entry's avatar is ringed in the color of its entry (a ban red, a join green, as your templates color them), which makes a busy log channel easier to scan. A message has one avatar, so entries of different colors that arrive together are posted as separate messages. Entries whose first container has no color keep the accent.
- Server default (both fields): what Mod Logs uses in Settings > Webhook Avatars. The demo server rings mod log entries in each message's color there, for example.
Give a join log and a message log different icons, for example. The bot's avatar in the corner is a server setting, in the same Settings section.
Note
Discord keeps one avatar per webhook, so an entry with an avatar of its own (a matched ring or a channel's icon) links to an image the dashboard serves. That needs the dashboard's public_url to be an https:// address; until then every entry uses the webhook's own avatar. A webhook you gave your own avatar in Discord keeps it.
Bulk delete archives
When many messages are deleted at once (a purge by a moderator or another bot), the Bulk Message Delete entry attaches the deleted messages as bulk_delete.txt and has a View Archive button that opens them on a web page. The archive keeps each message's author, time, text and attachment names, as far as the bot had them cached, and is removed after 30 days. Anyone with the link can open it, so treat the link like the log channel itself.
No archive is made when no log channel would receive the entry.
Logs tab
The Logs tab shows the staff log filtered to Mod Logs: who turned the module on or off and who created, changed or removed a log channel, with the fields they changed (webhook URLs masked).
