Set up a sticky message
You need a message template saved in the Message Builder. You can also create one from the sticky dialog.
- Open Sticky Messages and turn on the switch at the top right of the panel. It saves at once.
- Click Add Sticky Message.
- In New Sticky Message, pick the Channel. Only text channels without a sticky are offered.
- Pick the Message Template. The list shows your saved templates, not the system templates modules use. Create template (or Edit template once one is picked) opens the Message Builder and brings you back here.
- Leave Send Mode on Bot, or switch to Webhook. See Webhook Mode.
- Set Minimum Messages, and optionally enable Minimum Time. See Triggers.
- Leave Delete old sticky and Enabled on.
- Click Save.
The sticky is posted in the channel right away (while the module and the sticky are enabled), and from then on it is re-posted as its triggers are met.
Note
The bot needs View Channel and Send Messages in the channel. Webhook mode also needs Manage Webhooks.
Edit or remove a sticky
Use the pencil button on a sticky to edit it. The channel cannot be changed; delete the sticky and create a new one instead. Saving an edit posts the sticky again at once, removing the old copy when Delete old sticky is on.
The bin button deletes a sticky after you confirm, and the bot removes its last posted copy from the channel.
Every create, edit and delete is recorded on the Logs tab.
