Troubleshooting
The sticky is not re-posted
| Cause | Fix |
|---|---|
| The module or the sticky is off | Turn on the switch at the top of the panel and the sticky's Enabled toggle. |
| Its conditions are not met yet | A re-post needs member messages: bot and webhook messages do not count, and the bot only checks when a message arrives. See Triggers. |
| AND mode with a long Minimum Time | Both conditions must be met. Shorten the time or switch to OR. |
| The bot cannot post in the channel | Give it View Channel and Send Messages, plus Manage Webhooks in webhook mode. |
The sticky is posted after every message
Minimum Messages is 1 and Minimum Time is off. Raise Minimum Messages, or enable Minimum Time in AND mode.
The sticky turned itself off
When a sticky's template is deleted, the bot disables the sticky the next time it tries to post it. It also sends a Bot Alert ("A sticky message was automatically disabled because its template was deleted.") to your mod log channels that receive bot alerts, and records it in the server's staff logs: a Bot Alert entry and a Disable Sticky Message entry in the Sticky logs, both with the bot as the actor. To fix it, edit the sticky, pick another Message Template, turn Enabled back on and save.
Old copies pile up in the channel
Delete old sticky is off for that sticky. Turn it on; the bot then removes its previous copy before each new one. Copies from before the change stay until you delete them.
The sticky shows the wrong name or avatar
In webhook mode, check Display Name Override and Avatar Override. If the webhook you picked was deleted, the sticky now uses the bot's own webhook in the channel. See If the webhook is deleted.
A form link shows up as raw text
A variable such as {forms.apply.url} is posted as written when its slug does not match a form in this server. Check the form's slug in Forms, then fix the template.
