Welcome Images

Welcomer can attach a generated image card to the join and leave messages: the Welcome Image (welcomer.welcome) and the Leave Image (welcomer.goodbye, titled Goodbye Image in its dialog), both 800 x 300. Each card is drawn fresh for the member, with their name and avatar and your server's details.

A card is only attached when its message uses the variable: {join_image} in the Join Message, {leave_image} in the Leave Message. Without it, no card is made.

Change a card

  1. On Welcomer > Settings, click Configure next to Welcome Image or Leave Image.
  2. The dialog lists the card's variants. Click the brush button on a variant to edit it in the Image Builder, Duplicate to copy it, or Remove from group to take it out.
  3. Create a variant with the + button (Create new variant), or pick an existing design from the list next to it.
  4. Pick the Selection mode:
    • Single: always uses the first variant.
    • Rotate: uses the variants in turn, one per member.
    • Random: picks a variant at random for each member.
  5. Click Save.
Welcome Image: two variants of the 800 x 300 card and the selection mode

The first time Welcomer is opened, each card gets one ready-made variant: Default Welcome Card and Default Goodbye Card.

What a card can show

Card text can use the member's display name, username, ID and mention, their avatar, the server's name and icon, the member count and the member's join position.

If no card appears

  • Check that the message contains {join_image} or {leave_image}.
  • The card needs at least one variant; a group with none is skipped.
  • The bot needs Attach Files in the channel.
