Variables
The three level-up messages are system templates. Open one with the pencil button next to its toggle under Level-up Notifications in Levels > Settings, or from the dashboard's Templates page. Write a variable in curly braces, such as {level}, and the bot fills it in when it sends the message.
| Template | Slug | Variable groups |
|---|---|---|
| Level Up - Announcement Channel | @levels.level_up.channel | Server, Author, Level |
| Level Up - Current Channel | @levels.level_up.current_channel | Server, Author, Level |
| Level Up - DM | @levels.level_up.dm | Server, Author, Level |
Level
| Variable | Description |
|---|---|
{level} | New level reached |
{xp_type} | XP type (text or voice) |
The shared groups (Server, Author) are listed with the common template variables. Every template also takes the Utility variables.
In these templates the Author variables describe the member who leveled up, so {author.mention} pings them and {author.display_name} names them without a ping. {level} is their new combined level, and {xp_type} is text or voice depending on which activity caused the level-up.
Example
๐ {author.mention} just reached **Level {level}** in {server.name}!
