Forms - Form Types
A form's type sets its starting settings, hides the settings that do not fit it, and decides how responses are reviewed. New Form creates General forms; each server has one built-in form of each other type (Introductions, Staff Applications, Ban Appeals).
General
For surveys, feedback and sign-ups. Nothing is locked: by default anyone can answer, without signing in and as often as they like. Responses are not reviewed; use a Completion Announcement Channel to see them in Discord, and the Analytics tab for the results.
Introduction
For "introduce yourself" posts. Require Discord Login is always on, and non-members, anonymous responses and public analytics are not available. With One Response Per User and Allow Editing Responses on (the defaults), submitting again edits the member's existing introduction message; with One Response Per User off, members can post several and see the earlier ones on the form page.
Application
For staff and team applications. One Response Per User is always on, sign-in is required, and editing, non-members, anonymous responses and public analytics are not available. Applications get:
- a Staff Review Channel card with Accept and Deny, and Upvote / Downvote when Enable Staff Voting is on (the default);
- Re-apply Cooldown (days) (default 7, up to 365): after a decision, the member can apply again once this many days have passed (with 0, they can apply only once; staff can let someone apply again early with
/form reset-cooldown); - optional positions, each with its own questions and roles (see Applications and Positions);
- Roles Granted on Acceptance, an Acceptance Announcement Channel, and Acceptance DM and Denial DM templates.
Appeal
For ban appeals. One Response Per User and Require Discord Login are always on. Only users who are banned from the server can submit (members with Manage Server and the bot's owners can open it to preview). A denied appeal can be sent again, but an appeal that is Permanently Denied cannot. Accepting unbans the member. Appeals have an Appeals Review Channel and Enable Staff Voting, but no positions, acceptance roles or cooldown. See Ban Appeals.
Defaults by type
Each type starts from these settings (the internal names; the dashboard labels are on the Settings page). "n/a" means the type does not use the setting.
| Setting | General | Introduction | Application | Appeal |
|---|---|---|---|---|

closed, close_at and acceptance_message are Closed, Close At and Acceptance Message on the settings tab. A closed form, or one whose close time has passed, stays visible but takes no new responses; switching the form off hides it instead.
