Forms - Settings
Form settings live in the form editor (the pencil on a form), on the tabs basics, questions, positions (applications only), settings and channels. They are saved with Save Changes. Which settings a type offers, and their defaults, are on the Form Types page.
Module
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Module switch (top of the panel) | On | Off makes every form unavailable, stops /form list and /form link, and removes the appeal link from ban DMs |
| Command switches (Commands tab) | On | Turn /form list or /form link off |
basics
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Whether the form can be opened and submitted. Built-in forms start off |
| Title | Shown on the form page and in Discord (up to 100 characters) |
| URL Slug | The end of the form's address, /servers/<server>/forms/<slug>. Unique in the server. Changing it breaks links you already shared |
| Description (optional) | Shown above the questions (up to 2000 characters) |
settings
| Setting | Types | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Closed | All | Stops new responses. The form page stays up and says the form is closed; pending responses can no longer be edited |
| Close At (your local time, optional) | All | The form closes itself at this moment (entered in your time zone, stored in UTC) |
| One Response Per User | All (always on for applications and appeals) | A member can have one response. With Allow Editing Responses, submitting again edits it |
| Allow Editing Responses | General, introduction | Members can change a pending response |
| Require Discord Login | General (always on for the others) | Members must sign in to submit |
| Allow Non-Members | General | People who are not in the server can submit |
| Anonymous Responses | General | Reviewers do not see who answered |
| Show Public Analytics | General | Publishes the answer charts on a public page |
| Enable Staff Voting | Application, appeal | Adds Upvote and Downvote to the review card |
| Positions Enabled | Application | Switches on by itself when the form has positions |
| Re-apply Cooldown (days) | Application | Days after a decision before the member can apply again (0 to 365, default 7) |
| Max Responses (leave blank for unlimited) | All | The form closes itself after this many responses |
| Acceptance Message (optional) | All | Added to the default acceptance DM; an Acceptance DM template shows it with {acceptance_message} (up to 1000 characters) |
| Roles Granted on Acceptance | Application | Given to every accepted applicant |
| Roles Granted on Completion | All | Given to everyone who submits |
channels
| Setting | Types | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Staff Review Channel / Appeals Review Channel | Application, appeal | Where review cards with the Accept and Deny buttons are posted |
| Completion Announcement Channel and Submission Template | All | A card for every submission |
| Acceptance Announcement Channel and Acceptance Announcement Template | Application | An announcement for every accepted application |
| Acceptance DM and Denial DM | Application | Templates for the outcome DMs; without them a default message is sent |
The templates are chosen from those you saved in the Message Builder, or created from the picker. See Variables.
Logs tab
The Logs tab shows the staff log filtered to Forms: forms created, changed and deleted, votes, acceptances, denials and permanent denials, deleted responses and reset cooldowns, from Discord or the dashboard.
